Amy-Jane Beer is a biologist turned naturalist, writer and activist for whom nature is muse, mentor and motivation. Her last book The Flow, won the 2023 James Cropper Wainwight Prize for Nature Writing. She is a Country Diarist for The Guardian, columnist for British Wildlife, and a member of the core team of the access campaign Right To Roam. She lives in North Yorkshire.
