Where to stay

Shaftesbury is a great location to visit. Its location provides far reaching views over the landscape that has inspired this book festival. The town has a wide range of interesting independent shops and traders, with some well known high street names. There are plenty of cafes to enjoy coffee and cakes, and a visit to the world famous Gold Hill is a must. Shaftesbury and the surrounding villages have plenty of places to stay, and we've put together just a few here. There are many more to explore.

Stay right in the centre of town at the historic Grosvenor Arms.
